W.S. GARRETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROFILE
William Silas Garrett Elementary School was built in the 1999-2000 planning year of the Montgomery Public School System. It is a learning center for 675 students in grades kindergarten though fifth. The school was named in honor of former Superintendent, William Silas Garrett under whose leadership the school system gained an accredited status with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Garrett Elementary employs approximately 75 faculty, staff, and support personnel.
The school is located in East Montgomery County community which has undergone steady growth to include private and commercial development over the last two decades. Garrett school has been well received by this community as a representation of continual progress. Many businesses have joined the school as partners in educating the children of the community.
